We are thrilled to tell you of a very exciting development for KCEP:
The 1923 Westside School and Campus where KCEP currently resides is now a Historical Landmark on the National Registry.
KCEP is in the process of moving out of the 1923 Westside School for rehabilitation purposes. The 1923 Westside School will be preserved as a museum / bookstore.
KCEP will be moving next door into the newly renovated 1948 building. Both buildings are on the 1923 Westside School Campus located at 330 West Washington Avenue in Las Vegas (89106) on the corner of the newly renovated “D” Street. The new studios and offices will be much larger with easier access for patrons.
KCEP envisions the new space as an opportunity to upgrade into a Multimedia Center, a place for students to train for future careers in Broadcasting, Digital Media and Online Programming.
There will be two more HD Channels launched in 2016
HD 2 – 24/7 Gospel Channel
HD 3 – Teen Radio Channel
With your support we can achieve our vision for the community.
To realize the vision of our new Community Multimedia Center where students can get hands-on experience for future careers, we are kicking off a Million Dollar Fundraising Campaign to assist in
offsetting the costs.
KCEP serves the community and is a resource to over 200,000 listeners on a weekly basis. If each listener donated at least $10.00, we have the potential to raise over Two Million Dollars towards building on the KCEP legacy while supporting countless individuals and organizations throughout the community.
KCEP’s fundraising efforts also includes the opportunity for naming rights throughout various parts of the new building, as well as donor recognition boards located in the interior of KCEP where your contribution will be honored.
KCEP has a long history in the Las Vegas community, dating back to its humble beginnings at Nucleus Plaza (formerly the Golden West Shopping Center) in 1972 with just 10 watts. (Now 10,000 watts)
For more than 42 years, KCEP has prospered thanks to the dedication and perseverance of a passionate community.
With your help, KCEP has an opportunity to flourish in a modern day digital facility that will enhance its abilities to serve the community.
