Overview
KCEP-FM, The Las Vegas Urban League/Pearson Community Center, Nevada Partners and Clark County are making plans to launch our 1st Annual Black History Legacy Bowl. The Black History Legacy Bowl is a three part series of fun filled events that are certain to satisfy the mind, body, soul and spirit. Our greatest desire is for these events to present positive options for the entire family while having a heartfelt effect in the community. Flyer!
Flag Football Classic
There are eight (8) teams for the Football Classic. Eight or more players on each team with only eight (8) players on the field from each team at time of play. Games are held every hour on the hour, comprised of two (2) twenty-minute halves. The Flag Football Classic is a single elimination competition. There will be a cash prize given to the winning team.
Mind and Body Challenge
Ten high school teams of ten participants/players will be selected. There will be a series of events throughout the day that encompass sports challenges with mental challenges. Teams or individuals will compete for points for their team through each challenge. Teams will be competing for scholarships and awards.
Neo Soul Food Festival
Food vendors buy in for an opportunity to compete for awards and cash prizes in the categories of BBQ, Creole/Cajun and Soul Food. Vendors will be showcasing their food to the public for a cost. There will be local performers and celebrity talent that will be performing throughout the day. Performers include spoken word, singers, instrumentalist, comedians and more.
